Tender-awarded project for the Jordan Valley Authority using GLT-500 Modbus RS-485 sensor with ±1 cm accuracy. In 2025, BADNF Automation Industrial successfully executed a tender-awarded project for the Jordan Valley Authority, implementing a Modbus-based PLC water level monitoring system at Karamah Dam. The project’s purpose was to continuously measure and display the absolute water level within the reservoir relative to sea level (-315.80 m) with exceptional accuracy and long-term reliability. A GLT-500 submersible pressure transmitter, rated for a 60-meter water column, was installed at the dam intake. The sensor communicates digitally with a Delta PLC via Modbus RS-485, ensuring high-fidelity signal transmission and temperature-compensated readings. After processing, the PLC displays real-time level values, trend graphs, and alarms on an HMI screen with a measurement accuracy of ±1 cm. BADNF’s engineering scope covered full installation, wiring, Modbus configuration, calibration, and commissioning. Delivered under a public tender, the system achieved full technical compliance with the Authority’s specifications and now provides precise, maintenance-efficient, and field-proven monitoring for one of Jordan’s critical water infrastructures.Implemented modbus-based PLC water level monitoring system for jordan valley authority
